Hospice is a program of palliative care (relief from pain and suffering)
and supportive services provided in both home and inpatient settings
which provides for physical, psychological, spiritual care for the
dying persons and their families. Services are provided by a medically
directed interdisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers.
Services and Care Provided by Hospice include:
nursing services
therapy
medical social work
HHA and homemaker services
physician services
counseling services (dietary, pastoral and other)
short-term inpatient care
medical appliances and supplies, including drugs and biologicals
bereavement counseling to family/caregiver after death
Our expert consultants provide assistance with start-up agencies,
Plans of correction in response to surveys, quality improvement
activities, operations, JCAHO accreditation and education and inservices.
